Amir Mireskandari is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Miresco Investment Services. In the late 90’s, he co-founded and served as a Director for The Lugano Group, a securities brokerage firm with advisory services. In the early 90’s, he worked at The World Bank in Washington D.C. as an Analyst for the International Finance Corporation working in private lending in Emerging Markets. Mr. Mireskandari holds both General Securities Representative (Series 7) and Principal (Series 24) licenses. He also holds (Series 28) Financial and Operations Principal and (Series 79) Investment Banking Representative licenses. He earned his B.B.A. and M.B.A. in International Business from George Washington University. Mr. Mireskandari completed his postgraduate studies in Management from the Executive Program of Harvard Business School.
Darlene Underwood, Chief Operating Officer, joined Miresco in February 2002. She posesses over twenty-years of operational and human resources experience in corporate and consulting environments, including nine years with an international human resources consulting firm and two years with a national energy firm. Ms. Underwood holds a Bachelors of Business Administration (BBA) from Our Lady of the Lakes University.
Greg Jordt, Vice President, Purchasing/Logistics, joined the company in January 2004. Mr. Jordt has over 20 years experience in all aspects of both the Retail and Wholesale home furnishings business. That experience specifically includes the buying and merchandising of area rugs for such large National Retailers as Dayton – Hudson’s and Ethan Allen as well as the product development and the operations (COO) of one of the Industry’s largest Importer/Wholesalers, Couristan. Mr. Jordt holds a Bachelors of Business Administration (BBA) from the University of Miami (FL) and a Juris Doctorate (JD) also from the University of Miami.
Patricia Adams Emerson, Vice President, Business Development, brings over 25 years of retail, entrepreneur and organization management experience. Her extensive background in managing retail start-ups, operations and liquidations is complimented by her strengths in interior design, purchasing, inventory management, international bartering, and negotiations. Ms. Emerson's market knowledge and understanding of retail and market trends contributes to her success of managing premier retail stores and liquidations nationwide.
Laura Lawton Gee, Vice President, General Counsel, joined Miresco in 2010. Ms. Gee's legal experience includes a clerkship with a United States Bankruptcy Judge and two years with a large national law firm. She holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) from the University of Texas at Austin and a Juris Doctorate (JD) from the University of Houston. Ms. Gee is an active member of the Houston Association of Young Bankruptcy Lawyers and the Junior League of Houston. |
